TRUTH TRANSFORMS

500

This is not an ivory-tower discussion. Dr Vishal Mangalwadi, began writing this book when he was thrown in jail with nothing but a Bible.

Why?

For organizing a non-sectarian public prayer meeting for relief for victims of a hailstorm. Media exposure prevented those educated “Civil” servants from killing Vishal. The “retreat” in jail gave him him the time to study why compassion got Jesus into trouble; why evangelism made the Apostle Paul a reformer who turned the world upside down.

This new edition of the earlier book, “Truth And Transformation” (YWAM, Seattle) is mainly for Africa and Asia.

Description

TRUTH TRANSFORMS: A Manifesto for Ailing Nations

A judge declared that the accused is innocent but asked his officers to “hang him”. Another ruler knew that his highly respected prisoner had committed no crime. Yet, he ordered his head to be chopped off and brought on a platter at his birthday party.

Should the officers obey or arrest such murderer-rulers? Who do officers serve, the rulers or the law?

Do the rulers and officers take innocent lives because they are slaves of sin? How do we create free nations where the innocent are secure because justice rules and not terror?

This is not an ivory-tower discussion. Dr Vishal Mangalwadi, MA, LLD, began writing this book when he was thrown in jail with nothing but a Bible.

Why?

For organizing a non-sectarian public prayer meeting for relief for victims of a hailstorm. The Superintendent of Police threatened to kill him if he did not cancel the prayer. “I need no warrant: I will not produce you before a magistrate: I will take you from your home to the jungle and shoot you; hyenas will eat your body.”

Media exposure prevented those educated “Civil” servants from killing Vishal. The “retreat” in jail gave him him the time to study why compassion got Jesus into trouble; why evangelism made the Apostle Paul a reformer who turned the world upside down.

PS. This new edition of the earlier book, “Truth And Transformation” (YWAM, Seattle) is mainly for Africa and Asia. It is now ready for publication.
